Do the endcans have to be slip on, whenever I have looked for some cans for my factory the price seems to be at least £500.
When I bought for my TL you could pick them up for around £200.

Surely someone must do a conversion.
Anyone know of a reputable co

Check ebay there are always cans on there. I got my Tigs for £300 plus a bit for postage and they had only been used for 400 miles, completely as new.

bargain, ebay rocks at cheap stuff.
The guy I bought my factory from had a full Acra system going, wanted £600 for, I didn't have £600 though :banghead
Its on ebay now

You can core you own. There is a lot of junk inside the can to remove. You will need:
1)drill with bits to drill out can and strap rivets (dont forget the one that attached to the rear pegs)
2)Something to pound the catalytic converter out of the link pipe. I used a large flat-head screwdriver and a rubber mallet. This takes forever and is the longest part.
3)A cutter that will cut metal. This is for cutting the exhaust port at the rear of the can from the internal housings/baffels that are not needed. I used a Dremel tool with a cutting disk.
4)60mm internal diameter perforated core, I forget the length
5)Packing material to repack the can with, the origional material is not enough
6)rivits and gun to reassemble the can
The whole job can be done for under $100 USD total if you have all the tools and only need supplies including the welding fee to weld the core onto the link pipe if you cannot weld, I could not.
Be sure to get the dealer to switch the bike over to Map 2 soon after coring the cans.

Johnny,

There is a chap called buffalo on the RSVR.net forums selling a pair of cored and shortened cans for £80.........Sounds cheap to me!

OK guys just changed my 02 Mille for an 07 RSV. On the Mille I had an Arrow can that sounded awesome.

After I have run my RSV in I want to put some cans on again. What do people reckon are the best Arrow or Akra's for the new shape RSV

Sure that some of it is open to personal preference, but I would be interested in what experiances people have had.

I had Akras.....

Now I have Tigs....

Tigs are better.......in every way....

From what I have heard and seen, Tigs are the way to go on the Aprilia. Weld quality is artwork on the Tigs, and when coupled with Arrow headers, they cant be beat.

Me thinks sound, and build quality

:thumbup
The Akras sound pretty good...louder than i thought they would, but the Tigs blow them away...and i'm not just talking about db's. They sound is much better...deeper not raspy like the Akras..

They also flow A LOT MORE!!!!!

They feel like a hurricane from behind...
