Electrics problem.....

Yeah, the one with the man ****s who put his 996 away in the van for day 2.

I had heard that there was a problem with wires under the seat being pulled out.
The single seat series bikes were originally designed for light weight riders, which led to problems when the slightly more 'fuller figured' riders took to the road.
In order to save money at the Aprilia factory, wires were deliberately shortened.
However, the slightly more portly riders caused excessive suspenion travel, leading to the under seat wires being pulled apart!:laugh

Ah ha, this could be the answer to the my problem, I have an 08 model Tuono, the warning light has started to come on intermitingly and the dash says SERVICE, however it is not due a service.
I have fitted a camera detector under the seat recently and wired it to the rear brake light, I wonder if this could be the problem as the light only seems to come on when under compression.
Does anyone have any other suggestions, should there be a fault code, where would it show the fault code, do I have to go into the diagnostics menu :dunno ?.

Thanks for any comments. :thumbup
