Considering Pulling The Trigger....

Hi everyone!
New to the forum but not to riding. I'm in Ontario, Canada, just outside of the Kitchener/Waterloo area.
Current ride is a "˜14 Honda VFR which I really like most of the time. I just wish it had more power and it's a bit lacking in the looks dept.
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a "˜15 V4 1000 that has just shy of 5k kms. The only reason I'm hesitating is because of possible reliability issues that I've read about online or heard from riding buddies. Are they really as finicky as I'm lead to believe?
The price seems right, $9k, but I also have the option of buying a new "˜18 RR for $13k.
Any input, advice, things to look for and/or warnings on the "˜15 would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Btw, are there any other Tuono owners from SW Ontario here?
Cheers!

Hi Katatonic

Do you have a dealer locally?
Yes buy the 18 rr
No Buy the 18 rr

Joking aside either machine will do everything and possibly more than you'll ever need, If you can stretch to the extra bucks go 18 1100RR. New is always nice piece of mind with warranty and dealer support, I am fortunate to have a great dealer 8 miles from home but tbh Ive never needed their assistance other than routine servicing and a recall, no warranty issues. 2016 Factory Tuono.

Hope you choose soon and chose well, pictures on here or it didn't happen :)

I've got a dealer a few minutes up the road from me so I've got that part covered.
I'm drawn more to the "˜18, but I think that's mostly due to the dash looking way better and for the quick up/down shifting. But then the cheap side of me is drawn to getting an awesome bike for what will end up being about $5k cheaper.... Plus, the "˜15 already has an aftermarket pipe and tail tidy done.
And of course, if/when I end up with a Tuono I will for sure post pics!
