Hello All,
I have an '02 RSV. I decided to move to a slipper clutch. (Yoyodyne) I had to remove the clutch nut that holds the clutch hub, which was a good time. I only mention this because I had to try a couple methods.
(1) put the transmission in 6th gear, stomp on the rear brake and pull on a breaker bar to loosen the nut (this caused the bike to emit some funny noises internally so went out and bought a clutch tool
(2) Clutch holding tool
Now that it is back together I am having issues shifting. When the bike is off and in neutral, I cannot shift out of neutral with or without the clutch engaged. When i roll the back tire slightly it will then jump out and allow me to engage first thru fifth but not go into sixth until i rock the rear wheel again. Same to get it back into neutral.
Any thoughts on if it's something i did during the clutch reassembly or, worse, something I bent/broke during the clutch nut removal process?
Thanks in advance.
I'm just glad it's winter.
Josh
