Clock reset issue, would YOU still buy it ?

Not a Factory mate, just a nice, clean RSVR. As I said, don`t like to get too excited at this stage, as I`ve yet to see it, and dealers can vary, somewhat, in their interpretation of "mint". :devious

I hope it IS good, though, as the return-trip is approx 260 miles in total, and it`s a long way to go if the bike`s not as described !

I`ve also hopes of coming back home on my new RSVR, so...........fingers crossed ! :thumbup

my 05 model had the same problem but luckily the guy i bought from was an honest soul and told me about it.
seems a common issue but i assume you can get one of the 'mileage correction' companies to set it forward to the correct mileage as they do for £50 ish (but usually winding it the other way!)

Well in the end lads, I DIDN`T buy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drove 300 fookin miles today (return trip), to a dealer in Lincolnshire, only to find out that the bike wasn`t as described by the dealer selling it.

Nearside Akra end can had bottomed onto the swing-arm as some point, knocking quite a decent chunk out the arm, and damaging the can to boot.

Why can`t dealers just be straight with you on the phone, instead of dragging you all over the place ? Left at 9.30 this morning, got back at 5.00 this evening. What a wasted day !!!!!!! :rant

After reading this again I realised I`d written "drove", instead of "rode", as I rode the Ape all the way down there for a negative result.

Never mind, it was a good excuse to turn out on the bike at least......:biggrin

M8, spent a few weeks with my pal looking for a decent Ape and dealers telling us allsorts of b**lox, so i know what its like:confused.. What colour / age are you looking for and we can all keep our eyes peeled, as i bet most of us drift info bike shops at the weekend :devious.. Only minters to be reported back:thumbup
