likewise, rode the diaval and 1100 Monster Evo back to back last night
The diaval is pretty unique. It feels genuinely light and rolls lovely around corners as long you plan appropriately. The one I rode one was set up in full-on 162bhp stonk mode and zero traction control, and can testify it would trounce a T on accelaration. Got a bit too keen in the latter half of the ride and wound it on then put it through a 15-20 degree corner only to be greeted by a pretty major tankslapper. Don't believe the MCN ********, this is nothing like a sports/super naked. It's still a cruiser, but gotta confess I thought it was great in every respect as long as you accept it's zero sports potential.
The monster 1100 evo is a completely different kettle of fish, it's a serious contender to those who like the T. The engine's lazier, but riding the waves of torque is lurrvvely. From the relatively short time I had on it I thought the handling was outstanding. You feel more pitched forward than the T but less so than the Duc Streetfighter. I'm gonna get me a decent length test ride to find out more....
