Once the original brake lever is off, what's the method for the removal of the bit that needs to be swaped from the old to the new lever? i.e. the dangley bit that wont come out for some reason. Ta!

Cheers.

the pushrod is retained with a grub screw

the pushrod is retained with a grub screw

It is held in well with loctite so give it a little heat and it will come out hopefully

I ended up bashing a slightly oversized imperial allen key in to get it to budge

ozz can you let me no now you get on with them?? ie delivery, fitting? cos im thinking of ordering some my self
cheers

do they do rearsets as well?

My mate's just bought a trackday r1 thats got the short levers and rearsets fitted. Levers are brilliant and rearsets look good too but one of the linkages on the gear side is a bit sloppy. I'm sure that its just a bolt thats too long thats causing it and they look right good quality.

Just fitted a set to mine, look well smart. I couldnt get the grub screw out so had to drill it out with a 3mm drill bit then re-tap the hole to M4 & fit a new grub screw.

Hi guys just fitted a set from moto88gp and i am very impressed, took me 10 mins to fit (and im a builder)cost me £23 +£10 postage. they are the short ones the brake is imense but the clutch is a bit heavy but again as a builder not to much of a hassle might look into a different clutch slave any advice on which would be great

Hey ozz ive just clicked your link after i wrote ma post DOH hey good choice, the hardest part of fitting is taking the little plunger bits off the old levers.....

I had the same problem with clearance. Got to file a bit off. I also didn't realise the grub screw was where it was and effd the thread up. Had to send off for a new lever assembly to get a pushrod (they don't do them seperately), £50!! Lucky the shorties were only £20!!!!! New pushrod doesn't have a grub screw though it just sits in loose?!

mine have turned up but not had chance to fit them yet!! fair play they where delivered very quickley

my clutch side needed a bit of filing. brake side went straight on. good because I was worried about weakening the brake lever!!
