***** Griff thats a good explanantion. Saying that though as I've not ridden a Gen 2 I'd say my Gen 1 is sorta raw in comparison to my BMW but I still love it and wouldn't swap it. Thats until I go out for a ride with Gilo again and think his Gen 2 looks a nice bita kit.

they look spectacular mate i agree but im a littleoldskool and love the edge that the gen 1 gives us!

a gen 1 racing is the choice of steed for me if i could afford one! ...(when!)

looks ok doesnt it!!

back seat looks a bit odd, is that standard?? im not sure......

for me its a Gen 1 racing though.....old skool , raw ,exclusive and a little bit gnarly!!

is it nae wan o they pillion friendly add-on jobbies wi wee handles either side

looks like it doesnt it.....

looks bloody stupid though...... looks like a bloody great boil on the bottom

id have to deal with that if it were mine!

Pikeman just to throw a spanner in the works also look at these racing ones. Carbon Fibre everything including pretty much all bodywork plus light racing wheels and Ohlins Suspension front and rear which a lot of Gen 2's don't have. I reckon they're a pretty hard bike to beat.

If I was looking now I'd go for the 3rd one as I reckon you'd get it for 5k and its low milaeage but mine had 12K on it when i bought it for 5k on a 53 plate in the summer. Mines in immaculate condition and I'm the 3rd owner. I'd have any of those 3 over the one you're looking at just for the amount of Carbon on them, wheels and Ohlins suspension all around. Take yer pick they all look to be in your price range if you're looking at a £5000 bike. ;)

theres a few things been changed on it but i am sporting a semi -on !

theses are awesome bikes and rare!!

exciting times dude! buzzin for ya!!

**** me, there's some very tasty hardware there!!!!

If you really want a Gen1 that's the way to go. The will definately hold their value compared to the standard and modded steeds

This is batfastards old bike. He paid fortune out modding and fettling it. I've ridden it and vouch (assuming it's still in the same state) that it one of the sorted Gen1's you'll find

its all intact except front discs replaced as the wavy ones were shagged

The Gen 1 racing has Ohlins front and rear. Take a look at the pictures. I can't say that the one you're looking at hasn't been modded out but my racing model I'd find hard to mod out as it has everything on it and was built for Racing so has the Racing chip as well as the original one which can be inserted into the Ecu for a straight through exhaust.

Don't be jealous guys I've got one and in my opinion it is the most awesome bike I've ever ridden. I've already got the racing chip in running straight through Racing exhaust but gonna change it to a Mivv GP Carbon in the summer. Mines got the white wheels rather than the blue ones though.

im jealous!!

your bike should have white wheels shouldnt it!

advise caution with the mivv exhaust though mate ive seen issue on the dyno with these end cans!

do a bit of research first mate , they do strangle the performance somwhat with the baffles in , but out you cant hear yourself think, 9 seriously loud mate, and thats coming from an ***** like me!!
