A funny story . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

well dont get too sick over it mate, i might have to take one of the bikes off the road, i dont wana, but thats what might happen:dunno

Still got em both though mate, gotta be chuffed by that, now which one will i drool over today hhhhmmmmmmm :pirate

thats a good point mate, at the mo, i've done some research and it works out 100 quid cheaper to insure the duke than the rsv, so im not quite sure, i could do with some help on the matter, or if theres anyone out there who can give me dirt cheap insurance for the both bikes:dunno

I used to have a multi-bike policy with Footman James but that was for 'classics' although one was a '96. You might want to check them out.
Congrats on getting the Duke back - what a result.

cheers mate, i'll give them a look, I had a look at bennetts, but for both the duke an the rsv, they wanted like 600 quid, an that was just for 3rd party only!:rant:puke

As much as I love aprilia, i dont think i'd last long on the v4, and I couldnt sell the duke mate, its worth too much to me :biggrin

boys an girls its done! the duke is finally finished! all i gotta do now is get the police to stop dragging their heels and get them to inspect it!:puke

Just read this thread from the beginning, wow what a happy ending.:thumbup

Good on yer fella.

Why do the plod have to inspect it tho now?:dunno

mate, they wanna inspect it because the chassis isnt the one that was originally in the bike. the chassis thats in my bike belongs to a bike that isnt alive anymore, not been reported stolen, lost, scrapped, exported, nothing, its not been taxed or insured for over 5 years, an all this mess has been going on since bloody november!:angry

oh right sounds slightly complicated to me.:biggrin

All the best luck with it anyway and hope ya get it sorted soon.:thumbup

At the very least it might be worthy of a track day this year eh.:dowhat

mate, I want this sorry affair sorted within the next 2 weeks, or I'm gonna go down to the dvla and the police an through the biggest hissy fit of all time. but for sure I would love to have the chance to track the duke, seeing as I never got the chance to do it with my old rsv :thumbup
