Yep, punk first time round was ******* great. I was a tad too young (11 in '76) but still got well into it. First band I saw was The Stranglers on their Black and White tour (missed the Heroes tour with the strippers, bollocks).

Good punk tribute band local to me called the *** Bristols (being as we are in the finest city in the South West) - went to see them end of last year and apart from the crowd being 90% BCFC football hoolies it was great. Slightly worrying that I knew virtually every song word for word......

Oh, and Fingers..... Inflammable Material one of the finest albums ever, still play it loads 30+ years on.

It's a sus sus sus suspect device......

I had the first Ian Drury album in Canada methinks, back in the day... Had it sent by a mates sister who had stayed in Blighty when the rest of the familia emigrated to Edmonton. I was in London when I was 21 and the year was about 1984 (Orwell was right), and got to see the real thing on King's Road... We had NOTHIN' like that in suburban Edmonton/St Albert. I need to get in touch with the ex-wife (that'll make the new one REAL happy), cuz the ***** took ALL my old pics when she left.

Again... kudos for the tour through time...

I`ll dig a few pics out.

Punk ...........not for me although I do have the pistols singles and a Stranglers album ( the rat one).

I`ll listen to anything really.

Coplestone? Nah, try a bit further north - close though...!

Right first time, Northgate. I guessed it was the hospital pic that gave it away - funny cos I was looking at it yesterday and thought to myself "blimey, I didn't realise the new bit was built way back then...!" (There's an even newer bit there now BTW).
