2002 runs like crap

Im looking at a 2002 capo. Its been stored and only has 1500 miles. Its had a new ecu a injectors, still runs bad. It idles iradically. Seems to lack power and has a miss. Any ideas what could be wrong? Tach isnt working either. Owner wants 2500 for it.

get a can of starting fluid and spray around intakes and hoses while the bike is idling..sound like a vacuum leak to me..if the starting fluid discovers a leak
it will momentarily cause the engine speed to increase a little..that being the case then look for and locate the leak...probably a hose cracked or not on the fitting..

If there was fuel left in anywhere it will be like jelly. Filter, Fuel pump etc. Tacho would indicate some sort of electrical problem, plug it in to find the fault codes maybe?

Hi I have some questions for any one in the know , has any one found the gearing a bit long especially 1st to 2nd I found my self court in between gears in traffic & that was on a test ride ! . Did read about tyre changes from 180 up to 190 surely this must be more about looks than anything else or is it a wee bit bigger contact patch . I know playing with bikes geometry gets tricky very quickly , while on the subject bike riders ask a lot of questions about bikes riding gear tyres and so on I said on my intro post Iv been riding for 42 yrs . don't know if anyone has heard of Keith code , but after years of riding I was still making fudamental mistakes Google his name I'll guarantee there isn't any one out there that can't learn from his videos or books , cheers for now & keep your rubber down mr j
