on my 2000 i have 15/44 and it's brilliant. i wouldn't change it back.

Interested what top speed in 6th gear you guys get out of 15/44 combo

Mine does this and hits a wall at that, i have had it at this for two miles and it wont go any quicker due to gearing, running 15/43, your model will be more like 155 mate as there were a few of us running the same flat out speed runs on various models and those older models on 16/44 were getting 155 at a push, so i reckon if you get 155 you will be doing well:thumbup
This is the road in this clip (private road), me in front and on my 04 bike which topped out at 167 on 15/43, there were about 13 of us on Mille's, what a blast, turn up the volume for max effect..............

I'm runnng a 15 tooth front sprocket on my 07 which is brilliant around town now. Seriously considering changing the rear after Reading this.
Don't want to drastically increase fuel consumption though givne the cost of liquid gold at the moment. :jack fooooooking government tax on motion lotion pisses me off:rant

not really too bothered what my top speed is - the legal limit in this country is 70 mph

even at snetterton with the long back straight you would not hit max speed, so i would rather have the improved rideability and better acceleration.
fuel consumption has not changed going from a 16/44 combo to 15/44. on a varied ride i still get 120 miles before the light comes on.

15:43 and max is not much north of 150-155mph. Fuel light comes on c. 80 miles but everyone of them is an absolute delight these days - smiles per gallon vs. miles per gallon ????

I just took it out for a ride with the 15-42 combo. :thumbup
It`s not a wheelie monster ( does make it easier though ).
Just tons of shove from any rev`s.
6th gear at 70mph is 4500rpm , so no drama`s crusing on the motorway.
I was giggling in my helmet, the acceleration OMFG!
I cant begin to imagine what it would feel like on a tuono.
I might just take the screen off and go for another ride. :doug

What revs is it doing @ 80mph. mine is running 15:40 and 80mph comes in @ 5000rpm. Am considering the 42 rear.

mine on 15/44 does about 7K rpm at 100mph - no different to my vfr750
