Does the 190/55 tyre sit less wide on the rim than a 190/50? Does the extra height affect how close it sits to the chain? I'm looking for a tyre that gives more chain clearance than the 190/50 and slightly reluctant to get the 180/55 due to having had grip issues before with the thinner tyre...

just putting a new 190/50 ZR 17 Metz Racetec M1 on my T, but found some info on a site saying only a 190/55 ZR 17 Metz Racetec M1 should be on the T. The original was a Metzeler Rennsport 190/50ZR17....:mad: need I be worried? Any advice please guys?

My (newish) 2005 Factory still has the original Dragon Supercorsa's on it. Rear is now well worn, but front is good for a long while yet. Can't get DSC's now,:dunno, does anyone know if there is a Pirelli rear tyre that I could buy and use safely with the DSC front until I can change them both...
