Hi all, i'm new to the forum and indeed new to the whole v twin experience as i have just purchased a 2008 rsv-r... and loving it. looking for some advice on the suspension set up as it feels a little soft up front and a tad firm at the rear. as i said at the start it's a 2008 model with the...
Hi bought my first rsv yesterday. really enjoyed the ride home but was not happy with the suspension. the bike has the ohlins front forks and the sachs rear any advice on a set up would be very helpfull cheers steve.
OK my bike is an 07 Tuono 6k on the clock.
Suspension is standard (for now) was slow to turn into corners and crap at holding a line, so have dropped the forks through the yokes so there are 3 bars showing above the yokes.
Front preload is 4 rings showing.
Not altered rear preload so...
I emailed a local dealer today asking how mug to set my suspension up properl for me. All they asked was what bike I had and emailed back saying I would most likely need new springs etc !!!! How do they work that out !! I just want what I have adjusting
My T has been in Aprilia Performances' safe hands all today for a full service, valve check, suspension set up (what a difference!) install a socket for my sat-nav, ... the works.
I was there all day too pretending to be busy on my lappy but I can honestly say I leaned more about my bike in 7...
As you know i went out on the new T the other day :) one think i could not fatham was the suspension. At first i thought it might be too firm up front and too soft at the rear err so to say. Then after a while and on more twisty roads it felt diferent but not right if that makes sense. My guess...
I have some AF1 suspension link plates for sale. They are brand new and unused. Never got round to fitting them and discovered them in a garage clear out. Tuono gone now:thumbdown so clearing out old parts.
They were for my 07 Tuono and will fit the following bikes:
For '04-'09 RSVR, RSVR...
Pulled my bike out of the garage today and it just collapsed at the rear!!
Further inspection found it was the rear suspension connecting rod had split down the length.
Anyone else had this?

Hi.
I've got hold of a Sachs shock off an 04 rsvr.
Does anyone know if i can just fit it straight into my 09 Tuono?
I'm thinkin its probably just a straight swap which will give me compresion damping as well as the standard shocks rebound/preload only..
Also it'll look a fcuk sight better:doug...
Right so i cant ride it because its not >15 deg C.
So i thought i would set the suspension up. Followed the Spoonz thread and i had 43mm of rider sag. I have been tweaking and turned the preload nut on the top about 6-7 turns and got it to 37 mm. I want 30 mm for a good road/track setup.
My...
Just had the bike out of the workshop, what a f**king day! Had the forks stripped and rebuild with WP fork internals :devious plus new oil etc, Just need them setup now but I can already feel a ton of difference, they are so plush, feel like i've got 10 times more grip, feedback through the bars...
I've got a 2000 Mille and I fitted a new clutch master cylinder about 400 miles ago. Clutch works fine but I've since noticed the fluid has turned right dark. Is this likely to be the seals in the slave cylinder or is it nothing to worry about. I know the problems not in the new master cylinder...

Just been replacing the rear shock on my 04 RSVR Factory and I thought I would check the linkage while I was down there.
The single conrod is very stiff to move at the forward pivot and there is brown ooze coming out of the rear bearing on this link. Not a good sign. It looks easy enough to...
