Hello all. First time posting so go easy on me! I've got a 2008 Tuono track bike. I want to refit the side stand. It had been removed before I bought it so I'm looking for any tips on refitting and any pitfalls to avoid. Thanks in advance, Gary

Hi, looking at my bike in the garage the other night as you do, and realised that the bike stands very upright and wouldn't take much to knock it over, I.e. a gust of wind if the bike wasn't parked right, now I've seen a few posts about the side stand not quite being up to spec and just wondered...

putting bike on paddock stand and slipped off to the right...lucky enough hit the wall and only scratched the headlight.keep brake and clutch lever handlbar clamps a tad loose so that just moved and didn,t snap the lever or mirror...still gutted at scratching head light tho cheers bash

Hi i see the answer is to buy a honda f/blade side stand, but do you get just the stand or the fixing bracket as well. Or use the aprilia one with the honda .

Guys, Would any of you recommend us ring a rear paddock stand for storing your Tuonos is there no advantage to storing in its side stand? I'm just thinking it would equal out the pressure on the front forks,as to uneven pressure when in the side stand? Any advice taken on board...

Hi guys On my Aprilia Tuono 2007 i,ve just noticed when the side stand is down i can still engage gear and ride off .Not good !!??.I have checked the switch and it is good.I have also tried a similar switch from a 2006 fireblade Any ideas anyone. Smurf

Does this require a resistor or just shorting out ?

I have just read in Ride Mag this month that the RSVR/Tuono (06 onwards) can take a side satdn from a fireblade or firestorm.. anyone had any experience with this. There are plenty of second hand sidestands on ebay, but interested to know if there is a specific year fireblade i should be looking...

My Blackbird side stand was delivered today so I had a go at fitting it. Removed the standard one , fitted the Blackbird stand with no issues, had to drill another 4.5mm hole for the side stand switch to locate into and all worked well. Apart from drilling the hole it's a straight swap. Nick
