Fitted new chain and sprocket's a few week's back 16/44 rethal sprocket's and a Triple sss gold x ring chain, usually I would put a DID on but local bike shop was doing a good deal. Anyway 300 mile's max on them, went for a blast yesterday with a few o the lad's, done about 50 mile's hard riding and bang chain snapped. Anybody heard about these triple sss chain's?? Local bike shop say's it's under warranty they'll replace it, but I don't want to use that brand again. I was very lucky as there was no damage to the bike, and the lad behind me never got hit. The chain was fitted correctly and it was'nt the split link.

glad no damage was done, that could have been nasty. These bikes produce lots of instant torque that can destroy poor quality chains. Go for a heavy duty x ring from Afam, DID or Renthal

Ive used triple s ( super stretchy *****) once before - never again. Although mone didnt snap it did stretch alarmingly. Gone to Renthal all round now.

had one on my old gsxr slingshot it didnt snap or stretch didnt have time on one section of the chain it would move over and rub the frame away took bike back and showed them and they swopped it fitted this one exactly the same took about 3-4 mm out the frame swopped it for a did chain and it was spot on will never have one again

Ahaaa! Local Bike shop told me today that's his second chain snapped! contacted his supplier, told them no more triple s chain's, an I've got brand new x ring DID on it's way, from the supplier, and if there was any damage they would cover it! Triple S Beware, far east *****!!

Someones selling these on ebay "BUY IT NOW" for £19.99

Id say thats a good indication that they are *****!

I wouldn't put one on a fizzy!, yesterday I showed the boy in the shop my old chain with 9500 miles on which was the original, and the triple S, 300 miles, held the two of them out side by side and over about 3 foot the triple S was sagging 4" more!!

Bollox! Just checked the chain on the Tuono and guess what! Feckin sss! Got quite a bad tight spot but am gonna change it now anyway! Bollox!

Change it! Andy, on friday before the run with the lad's, I oiled an checked the chain tension, took me age's cause there was a tight spot, anyway went for the happy medium, but since I've had that chain on I've had doubt in my mind, BANG!! "If in doubt take it out"
