ah kin vouch for lube nae gettin richt intae the inner rollers. Ahv always cleaned and relubed ma chains but when ah snapped one on the T a whiley back the inner bits were dry and corroded tae **** despite the ootside bein well greased.
Ah agree wi Griif that yer lube needs tae be runny. These sticky spray on jobs are well fine enough but they dinnae penetrate at all, jist crreate a skin so any water etc is then trapped within.
The only way tae really get lube tae penetrate the inners is either very runny stuff but will jist fling off or pressure and thats nae practical on a bike chain.
Its a compromise really whitever ye dae and ye have tae question the true longterm benfefits of O-ring chains over traditional when it comes tae lubrication
