Hi folks.
Well I'm in my 6th week or so of Mille ownership, and while she looks great and she's an absolute pleasure to ride, I have some concerns.
I read in the manual that the fuel light comes on when the tank has about 4 litres left in. Fair enough I suppose, my last bike didn't have a fuel light, so this is an improvement.
But, I was riding round, happy as larry, fuel light comes on. So I tootle off into the petrol station, put £10 (about 7 litres) in, and carry on.
Literally about 20 miles later, the fuel light comes back on again.
Is there a problem with my Mille? There is no way that my bike is burning approx a litre of fuel every 3 miles surely? That'd be a tank range of 60 miles out of a 20 litre tank, which is freaking INSANE!
Are there certain things that I need to check or tests that I need to do?
PS: My last bike was an RS250, so I'm used to using higher revs in lower gears, I spend most of my riding around the 5-6k mark, though for cruising I let it drop to 2.5/3.
