There aren't any females on this site?

Some others have quite a large number of female members..You can tell with some of the girly posts and some of the bitchy comments..

Do you think it's because of the size of the RSV's (though I thought size matters)

Or are they seen has a 'mans' bike?

Got to say, on the sites I read with the female members, practically everyone has fallen off recently.. So do they make better riders/drivers? (I have my own views:devious)

What about Pumpkin? Bet she could show a clean pair of heels to some on here, myself included

Never been out riding a bike with a girl in charge of it though, i know in club racing there is a lass in aprilia teens that is lightening and regularly finishes on podium.

Pic of pump confirms she is indeed a Girl

Pumpkin? must have missed that one..:biggrin

I have been on a group ride which had a very very fast female rider, but it's just something I've realised recently, about the sheer number who've fallen off.
One I've been out for rides with has fallen off 3 times, anothers just gone into a ditch (while her and her huband went to find a phone, someone had nicked the bike)

Not having a go at them.

dropped my son with his mum today with his mum
near scotch corner saw a woman with a Traille on the floor
stopped to help

that apart - used to race around cornwall with a group and a woman in that group about 50yrs old and on a 93 blade was like **** of a shovle on roads she knew

but i have to listen to a woman moaning all day (other half) so i come on here to escape from that.... so say keep them at bay

I think its cause women possilby dont even consider an RSV as an option, most seem to go for 600s or 750s, Pumpkin had a good kowledge of the aprilia thro friends so knew all about them, i dont think Aprilia is a well known name to be honest, alot of people, blokes and women included ask what kind of bike mine is then say ive never heard of it, the jap bike names are in the forefront of peoples minds :dunno

Thats what i reckon anyway......ill get back in me box :biggrin:biggrin:biggrin

You really really shouldn't post stuff like that..It make me feel lucky to be single..:biggrin
When my ex wife comes to take lad out on her monthly visit, it always puts me in a really good mood as I realise how lucky I am not to be with her.:biggrin

Just accasionally I think it'd be nice to have some female company, but then someone brings me back to reality..:thumbup

I've got a female friend that rides with us. She did consider a Mille before I knew her, but said when she test rode one she found it far to vibey for her and found the engine far to clattery and unrefined compared to Japanese alternatives. She has a zx636, is fairly quick, and not wishing to jump on the bandwagon, but yes she has fallen off twice in the past 18 months.

She now rides with an ipod as she claims that without it her mind wanders off. Each to their own I say. As long as it means she doesn't crash and hurt herself anymore, all good! :D

Oh, and she is coming to Castle Coombe for her first ever trackday.

Be good to see some more female RSV owners on here though :thumbup

I'd have thought that would have been a plus point for a female..:devious

The woman I know who's fallen off 3 times, also wears an ipod whilst riding for the same reason, and she takes her 7 year old pillion..Which does concern me, but none of my business to tell her what to do..

:lol you would of thought so, but from the chats i've had with other female riders, it seems that they prefer smooth and progressive vibrations, with a hard and fast top end for the tingles :sarcasm

I do ask her regularly at what point her mind wanders off and why. Tis a little disconcerting!

one of the barmaids in my local has just passed her test and says she is getting an ipod for the same reason, is a big no no in my eyes, what can be better than the sound of your bike, especially an rsv

I gotta be honest, i use an MP3 and listen to music when im riding, still hear and feal what the bikes doing tho :dunno

Is this a thinly veiled misoganist thread mark? :biggrin

Oops..Trying not to be..Believe it or not, I get on very well with women, mainly due to spending most of my working life in a mostly all female enviroment (textiles)

It's just something I've noticed.. There are record numbers of women taking their tests, and there are large numbers of them on other forums, but few on here. So just wondered the reason..Phew hope that turned that around from a misogynist thread:biggrin

Still don't want one though..:thumbup

No worries mate, I was knackered last night and just about to hit the pit so that was all I could come up with :biggrin

I can't say I've ever seen a woman riding a Mille. I know one girl that rides a VFR400 and another with an SV650. Maybe some women being usually shorter than blokes have trouble getting their toes on the deck with taller bikes. Maybe that's one of the reason's as Milles are tall bikes? :dunno

A Dutch girl I used to work with had an SV650 and she commuted to work on it all year around, went to watch MotoGP at Donny and all sorts. Don't remember her ever falling off the thing and she was a good rider

Although I went out for a rideout with another maid who had a Bandit or a Hornet and she'd pretty much got up close and personal with every hedge in East Devon :doug:biggrin:eatcorn
