who has tried 180 and 190 tyres on their RSV?

Same here 190/55 over a 180/55 is my personal preference, and now I believe there's a 180-190/60 profile available...
The 190 is a little slower at tipping in than the 180 but I prefer that and its probably only a placebo but I can get on the power much earlier while cranked over on the 190 (Exit to clearways and paddock hill come to mind)

190-55-17 and 120-70-17 Metzler racetec's now on their way k1 supersoft front, k2 soft rear

Thanks guys.

I'm running a 190-55 D211 on the back and it performs really well on road and track.
Anyone tried a 200-55 on the back? Is there enough clearance to the chain and anyone any idea how they'd perform?

190/55s are the Daddies! Turn in dead quick and the profile gives a greater contact patch when you are on yer ear. Plus if you ride fast you can get a nice pagoda style egde profile which is 'uberkudos' in the bike park!

Also if you want a quick turn in drop your yolkes down 5mm (no more to start with) and get yer suspension set up properly - might need to try a few different tuners 'til your happy - but worth more than any trick bits you want to throw at it! At 10st you already have the equivalent perfromance enhancement of race cans, a power commander and lighter wheels over my pie-sculpted 14 st!

Enjoy the bike!!

I had a 180 Pirelli Diablo originally as it was cheaper. Then I tried the 190 Pirelli diablo and preferred it. Then I put on 180 sportsmarts on as the 190 roadsmarts had caught a bit round the edge. And they only seem better. Of course it will depend on how you ride, and what tyre you use as to whether 180 or 190 will be 'best'.
