Cheers Felix,
I will track it down & report.

The nicest ice cream I have ever tried was over on the west coast, heading up to Silloth.

It waqs raspberry & white chocolate, made with real fruit.

I can highly recommend it....... check with squadron Leader Brooks....... tiz only a slight "detour"

:)

try not to get up too early Felix :rolleyes
been a while since i travelled the road from Skipton - Grassington - Buckden - Leyburn mate, have you been up there lateley and if so whats the road condition like?

Tiz a nice road, few tight bits but i like that road - though if your planning on going Ripon / Harrogate / Skipton / Grassington then maybe consider replacing Skipton with Pately Bridge. Skipton Road is a bit "Bland"

Re the early start...... i could always go for a ride and meet you later..... say 9.00 ?

:)

i agree, would we cut across from Menwith on the B6451 to Summer bridge then Pately bridge and Grassington? as for the meet time i will have to consult the 2i/c GF :lol

Sensible suggestions required for the Nort East meet time, for me the earlier the better, say 08;00hrs then we could meet up with Felix around 9ish in Thirsk, who knows Taxitom may turn up for a run out.
anyone else interested in joining up on the route is most welcome.
any of the newbies in the North East fancy joining this motley crew for a nice amble through Yorkshire?

Who needs sat nav when its so easy to come on here & ask for directions.

8:00 start is fine with me, I am normally up at 5:30 on week ends walking the dog.

keep an eye on the weather for this weekend, at the moment its looking a bit wet but there is time for that to change. any one else interested in joining us come along and bring a friend or family member, the more the merrier :thumbup.
went to Scarborough yesterday with the son and at times we would have been better with a jet ski :rolleyes all in all though an excellent ride out and good intro to wet weather riding for the son :yes
spotted a red and black tuono with akras on the sea front ridden by a gentleman in a very bright yellow helmet, any one on here :dunno

Is the lads bike up and running okay now?
yes mate all sorted and as i suspected it was the immobiliser causing the problem, went down to Thirsk on it on Friday with him on the back to pick up the T from service and it goes like a dream.
the back road from the A19 to Thirsk via Northallerton was a hoot even 2 up with a brand new back tyre lol
are you out this weekend weather permitting mate?

The week end forecast is dreadful, rain & even lightning predicted for saturday in the North East.

Typical start for my week off from work.

I am sure there are plenty of DIY tasks lined up to keep me busy.

The forcast is for glorious sun - in the south of France.
