Hi all happy new year
well im thinking of getting some Bst carbon fibre wheels for my t any body got some or had some what do you think ? cost about £2600 ?
 
Well I think you have far to much money. Just jealous mate. The wheight of wheels (as a rotating mass) will make a big difference in performance, also ultra coooool...fD.:evil
 
Never had them myself,but I know a bloke that had some fitted on his Ducati.They looked awesome and you could pick them up with a little finger.

i like to do a few bits to my bikes but £2600 is more than a few bits if you have the money go for it but i dont think you will go any faster but they will look good
 
I would ensure you can get insurance with them fitted, plus I know of someone who had a knightmare having tyres fitted; as the local shops near him wouldn't swap tyres incase they damaged the rims.
He eventually got it done with an agreement that if anything wen't wrong and the rim's got fooked, they weren't liable.

Otherwise do it - they are smart!
 
Before you let go of your hard earned, have a look at Amurai's wheel comparison thread over on AF1.
He actually weighs (pictures of wheels on digital scales included) front & rears, to eliminate the manufacturers ********, and then goes on to evaluate virtually every wheel available for the Ape. Well worth a look.
Also, the guy is one of the most respected Aprilia tech's in the US. What he doesn't know about these bikes isn't worth knowing.
 
Be very careful with them especially when having tyres fitted to them as once the lacquer chips and the water gets into the weave and they start losing their strength not really made for road riding more for track use where the track is smooth unlike uk roads better off with forged rims just my 2 pence worth from others who have gone down this route...

No m8 I'm not loaded infact I'm a mature student so semi skint is my middle name..:thumbup
 
Unless you are some riding God will you notice the difference against some forged wheels ? If you ride trackdays go for it , If you are like the rest of us whats the point ?

Good to see you on here Aldo, not herd much from ya the last few days, I lost the plot last night, I was so bloody bored..fD
 
fD, a lose the plot as well but usually 'am at the top of the apple tree at the time.
 
Well thanks for the input lads think ill pass on the wheels and spend the money on a gallon of fuel insted lol
