What Tyres again

Fit like 180,
Spotted on the Fudfest 2 thread that u were gettin on good with the angels, see I told u so lol. Thats me done 3500 on second set on other bike with no problems, after what u say and if prices are still good they may go on the T next time too.

On my gen 1 I run Dunlop GP racer used tyres. £75 quid a set, usually with 3-5 mm of tread on. Spoke to the Dunlop guy at BSB Snetty and he says the tyres are built to run at lower PSI even on the road, so front around 30 and rear 34-36. This as well as giving extra grip aids tyre life and reduces squaring off. I've been doing this for over 12 months, around 2000 miles, still on the same front with loads of life and just put in my second rear!!

sorry to hijack its a bit off topic but why do i keep reading about 180 rear tyres whats wrong with the 190 has people had issues with the bigger tyre iam running 190 no issues i can see

Aye nobpb the Angels were fecking brill all weekend, best I've used in the wet so far. daz min not sure aboot the Racing but Gollum has a 190 on the back of his Tuoldo and it was fouling on the chain slightly, yours may have a different setup

Tyres were £189 with £25 cash back fae Pirelli although I think that deal is finished now

The original 190/50's are a fatter lower profile than the alternate 180/55 and they turn in slower. The bikes actually handle better with the 180/55 than they do with a 190/50, but many reckon the newer (since the bikes were built) 190/55's do both jobs.

I might run a 190/55 next rear I get.
PS whats the thought on jacking up the rear by 30mm. U can get stuff on ebay that does it. I don't suffer with not being able to reach the floor and quite like a taller seat while increasing the turn in.

Never had any experience myself, but I vaguely remember someone saying it worked on milles - might of been Freestyler, but it might not :dunno give it a try, if you don't get on with it put them back on fleabay.

I might try it next summer. Just bought a few other things for the bike this year. If it works on a Mille should work on a Gen 1 T then

Hi folks, Looking for a new rear for my Gen 2 T. Has a front Metzeler rennsport and a rear metz M1 190/50. Been happy with grip & handling. The rear seemed slower turn in than the original rensport rear 190/50.

Would anyone recommend a 180/55R17 rear/ Noticed a few mentions and better turn in in corners.

Also does anyone use bridgestones?
