You guys buy any bike..just leave some RSVz for me to ride until i hit the worm box. :D
I ain't going back to no Japanese scooter..no way never.

when i get fed up with the rsv will probable fall into a GS1200. comfort envy is a strong thing, on top of that the wife may be doing her test next year,so there may be many years of plodding and touring around our country as we get old.

Have you
A. Read the write-ups
B. Seen the ugly MF in the metal?

I love the old Buells but the new one? No thanks.:puke

Yep pretty much.

Although A is only true if you don't read any American mags who think it's great but then their pedigree of making sports bikes is practically non existent so I guess the one eyed man is king in the land of the blind hey.

To be fair I went to see the 1125R in the metal last Sunday at Dock Gate 20 in Southampton, which was great incidentally, and while the 1125R's far from pretty it wasn't as hideous as I thought it'd be, partly because it's alot smaller in reality as most Buells are. However the bulbous fairing doesn't do it any favours, it just looks like a vulgar steroid induced 916 rip off to me.

It was a demo and had a full Remus system on it but it sounded like a standard SV650 at best which was very disappointing. I sort of know one of the guys that works there having met him once before on a ride out and he was saying that Buell asked Rotax to modify the engine to fit the frame and so it obviously meant the engine's original design was compromised to some extent and lead to some "issues..." (See first launch reviews.)

Each to their own but there's not even a remote chance I'd ever consider it unfortunately for Erik B!

MCN this week have riden the new Buell 1125CR; they say the engines fixed now having been screwed up in the 1125R by timing being 40 degrees out (sounds a bit fishy to me, you'd think someone might have spotted that before the launch...). Now all they need to do is sort the styling and reliability, then we'll all want one.

Interesting, although as you say it doesn't say much for Buell's engineering department if they hadn't noticed that before hand and it doesn't really inspire me with confidence. However they'd have to change the styling sooo much for my personal tastes that it'll never happen so it's moot point I guess.

I know Rotax build and supply engines to whoever wants them but it's a shame they can't find a better home for their lovely twin engines. Imagine if they hooked up with Bimota or someone like that, although I guess none of us could afford one so maybe it isn't a good idea after all!

Iwant a white RC8!, any one want to buy my carbon mille???!!!
Ck

I also think the RC8 in white looks awesome and I'd consider one too in the future, BUT they're very new and there's apparently quite a few potential issues with them, as mentioned earlier in this thread, so I personally would wait a year or so for them to sort the issues out first.

Also check out the upcoming 2009 Norton NRV588 and the Moto Morini Tarquinio. Both look very nice, very expensive, and will probably be very unreliable too! I'm particularly interested in the Tarquinio as it looks absolutely awesome, a cross between a later RSVR on steroids and a Ducati Desmo. Although the Norton sounds great too with the racing prototype weighing 130kg and putting out 170bhp. Obviously the road version won't be quite as impressive but it could gain 35kg and lose 35bhp and still be more than competitive with the current middleweights.
