Welsh Rideout Sat 30th July

Flipping eck she must have been some rider to go around you on those bends!! You ain't exactly slow matey, and those bends are evil. Caught me out bloody twice now.

It took over an hour to clean the insect mess off my leathers when I got home.
I can do the roll ups as well, bloody good run out, no rain to speak of.

Left mine out in overnight rain to give pre-wash. Now going out to finnish off & fit rear sets hopefully if I don't get busy at work.
Just had lie in to catch up on saturday nights escapade. knees still aching a bit.

Was a bit taken aback although I wasn't in serious attack mode. Was even more surprised to see the pony tail hanging out the back of her helmet when I caught up at the traffic lights.
Could have been a Geezer but I think the locks looked too shiny & well groomed for a bloke. Had a tail pack on so couldn't check out the rear end for Hips & Arse.

The other bike was a speed triple. so not keeping up the Tuono reputation I'm sorry.

Robbo what time are you leaving on Sunday to get back home also as if I can't meet Stix etc could maybe meet up say hi if the wifes back.
Sorry bay man, only just noticed your post, iphone reception was crap in Wales so gave up looking at the thread.

After the 400 mile round trip ride Saturday from Llangynidr to Caernarfon we went for a few well earned beers in Aber that evening. Not such an early start Sunday but still managed nearly 200 miles around Hay-on-Wye, Builth Wells & Llandovery with a brew at the West End Cafe. Stayed in Cwmbran Sunday night & left early Monday morning to meet the wife & kids for a day in Woolacombe, Devon. Another nice run via Minehead & Lynmouth once I left the M5. Bust out 30 miles short of 1300 miles over the weekend. My tyres are fooked as didn't have much on em before I left on Friday. Considering I had no fairing like on my old RSVR, surprising for my first lengthy run I feel ok, just my shoulders hurting from lugging a big backpack around.

By the way, looked on the map & we passed you 'Welsh boys on tour' whilst heading from Bala to Dolgellau.

Managed to hit the road from Newton to Crossgates (I think that's what it's called) again this year. What a fookin road. Got to the end, all smiling like cheshire cats. Asked my uncle what is was like the other way & he didn't know so we had to go find out.

Oh Robbo I'm disappointed man. I live in Abergavenny, had a mate down and could have popped down into town on Saturday to say hi and have a few bevvies. Even though wife was away sure my mother could have baby sat for a few hours. Bad boy Robbo bad boy.

Sorry dude :bawling

Like I say, phone was giving me jip so stopped looking on the zone. Next time I'm down we'll catch up before I leave Kent to sort. Probably wouldn't of been your thing anyway, spent most the night drinking far too much beer talking to scantily clad women that seemed to enjoy kissing & groping each other :lol

God knows where u were in Aber then? Sounds like the Kings Arms to me

Is that the one with the square out the back that has bands playing & tables out the front on the opposite side of the road? If so, then yes we did go their after a copule in the Weatherspoons but ended up in The Auburge until the early hours.

You went to the Kings Head mate. In fact you probably attended most of the dodgy bars in town and avoided all the good ones.

Seems that way don't it :eek

Worst one I went in was a few years back. Not sure what it's called but say the entrance to Weatherspoons is on your left, head down the hill past a car park on your right & you come to 2 small pubs both on the corner of a road opposite each other. It was the first one you come to (think it may be closed down now). The women were bigger & hairier than the men. Could hear a scuffle & turned to find 3 women knocking 7 bells out of each other. Needless to we drank up & moved on sharpish.

Best going from Newtown to Crossgates IMO nice tight uphill twisties to get you in the groove opening up fror the faster open road. However picking your day without the tourist traffic is a Cont??

Got to agree mate, nice couple of tight twisties as you start the climb going into long sweepers that I thought were never gonna end :drool

Must of been our lucky day as only thing I saw from start to finish was a guy on a KTM RC8 coming the other way. Was buzzing by the end I had to stop at the cafe at Crossgates for a beverage!
