lol i wish they could, requested a new shoulder, nice titanium one... they wouldnt give me one though :(

Dude, i feel for you, i had my left shoulder rebult 3 times, first they wired it, then they plated and screwed it together plus went into my hip and had bone grafts taken, then they removed the first lot of ironmongery, and put new in stufff plus more bone grafts from my hip. Then after a couple more months of good bone building/fusion, they took all the metal work back out so i can still ride bikes.

The bone grafts are what gave me real pain, and in all, i was off work for 2 years having it all done.

Good news now is its all healed with a couple of scars and a small bump, and luckily for me, i was working for the mars group, so was on full pay, and had private medical insurance, so all work was done very quickly and by one of the uk's top shoulder consultants.

good luck with your recovery, and if you get bored, give us a pm and we can meet up for a beer or 2, as you will get bored sat around.
