See I reckon a good investment for mick would be one of those camel back ruc sacs. He could just stop off and fill up the tank himself on the side of the road. Not sure it would pass health and safety though 
On a more serious note I've got a cambing stove which has a bottle which attaches to it. its one of the ones which can burn diesel, petrol whatever. Anyway the bottle takes all sorts of punishment will dent etc. I've often thought about chucking that in a ruc sac

understand where your coming from, I never ride out in groups I just happen to like the same roads that many other bikers enjoy always seems to be a lot of people around enjoying the Welsh country side at the same time as me. I tend to stay behind other riders when I come across them as I don't like to get accused of all sorts of misbehaviour. Does mean I end up following people around a fair bit even end up getting to know one or two of them.
On the other hand you cannot beat arranging to meet up for a few beers & a curry with some like minded folk especially if I have to ride the bike to get there

Fair play, now you're getting where I'm coming from. I just remember reading last year in the paper that 3-4 bikers were prosecuted as their friend they were riding with crashed and killed himself and his partner while overtaking and trying to catch up with them. I can't remember what they got prosecuted for but it seemed stupid as if I lose someone in front I just let them go and amble along at my own pace.

I can remember the same article. Police tried to do the 3 following bikes for dangerous driving claimed they were racing even though two of them were 2 up. In the end the police had to drop the case, but who needs the grief?

Theres a wetherspoons there as well and they do a nice pint on the way back to the B&B's. Look for B&B's in the Hereford Road area Mike. Theres a few there. Just means we're all walking in the same direction when we go back after night out plus my house has a fairly large garage the bikes can be stored in. i worked out could prob get about 12 bikes in there.

Sounding better all the time. The Landlady from the Black Lion has arrange my digs in her friends guest house which I understnd is a 10 minute walk away nearer to town. Bay thanks for the offer of storing my pride and joy much appreciated.
Jesus Mike I live a 10 minute walk away from the town centre and I'm further up the road than the Black Lion. U'll end up in bloody Raglan. Where is this other place Mike.
