The T's rear tyre is up for replacement soon so wear better to find out any good deals...:thumbup

Bearing in mind i live in the Uk..... Any of you guy's had any cheap deals as it's the one pet hate of mine having to pay a fortune for a bloody tyre,,

Thanks for any advice or contacts!

P.s. Let the games begin to who has had the best deal..(No lieing now:rolleyes)

Well i use either Rideinbiketyres.co.uk in Reading or FWR(www.fwr.co.uk) in London (both blokes are mates of mine from racing days).

As for actual prices, i dunno these days as 90% of my rubber is part worn race rubber for £50 a pair. The rest have been on the bikes when i bought it. I don't actually often keep bikes long enough to get through a set ;)

Round and Black on Ebay are pretty good, and M & P have some good offers on tyres. What sort of thing where you after?

Just a normal compound..(Sports tourer type this time of the year)..
Im a pretty tame rider these day's guy's and tend to get a fair mileage out of them.

M and P are doing the Bridgestone BT-021 Sports Tourer tyre for £169.99 + shipping the pair

BT-021

... or the standard Dunlop D209's for £139.99 + shipping

Dunlop

They also have more offers like the Pilot Sport pair for £139.99 in 180/55 or £149.99 in 190/50

FWR are doing Maxxis Supermax sport touring pairs for £129.99, £149 for Dunlop qualifers and Avon Viper sports, £169 for Pirelli Diablos and M1 Sportec

all the above are good for the sort of riding you want.

Delivery is free over £150.

I fancy trying Maxxis when my tyres need replacing as they have a great following in the supermoto world and they seem great value :thumbup

anyone had any experience of the maxxis supermax sport touring tyres. grip mileage etc.

One of the lads on his Gixer1000 has just bought the sticky version, no problems with grip or feel at this stage.

Watch these tyres, I've got a set of them on my blade and I reckon they need a lot of warm up time. I've spoken to guys who run them on their sports tourers and they say they're fine. I think it might be a weight thing. Around 80KG lighter and low air and surface temps they wouldn't be on my list of winter tyres for the T. (BT 021). Hope this helps.

Aldo.

Maxxis

I've heard a couple of good quotes on these tyres which seem to be on the top of the list a the moment guy's..

Was going to the N.E.C this weekend to buy a pair but to be honest I getting pissed of with their parking and admin fees...:no(That's another story though!)

Thanks for the help chaps...:thumbup

It's impossible to argue with the pricing of the Maxxis to be honest... they're a vast ammount cheaper than anything else out there.
