Hi 'T' lovers, 1800 miles and those Metzler Rennsports while having been great:thumbup are looking due for replacement! :thumbdown You guys did warn me when I first had the big 'T' they wouldn't last long. Germany beckons in July, any suggestions on replacements? Confidence more important than mileage but would prefer bit more than 2000 miles before replacement if possible or am I expecting too much?
Only problem so far is minor leak on RHS down pipe from Rad., hopefully fixed tomorrow. (Yes the clocks do mist up but can't be arsked after reading all about 'em in this forum!)

I've been using Pilot Power 2CT's and as good as they are, I was forced to get them on a trackday. I wanted Pilot Road 2's but they didn't have them. So now that my rear has a puncture and almost worn anyway, I'll be getting a Road rear.

The Power rear did about 3.5k including 1.5 trackdays. Not too bad imo! :thumbup

Hi,
I've done 1500 miles on the OEM pirelli dragon super corsa pros, looks to be about 1000 miles left in them. No problems with these, very sticky.

But am going to Italy in 2 weeks so replacing them with Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3's, these are street/track tyres with 3 compounds on the back - soft edges, hard centres. Have read rave reviews - anyone on here had any experience of these? Looking for good mileage with decent grip!

Would it be ok to leave the front Super Corsa on and just replace the rear with a new Corsa 3 do you think?

Cheers

Thanks guys but lady luck has done it again! On way back from having coolant leak fixed, heard a small 'POP' and 15 mins later suffered a very strange wobble round an island. Rear tyre punctured! Not far from from from Two Wheel Tyre Center J 7, M6 so wobbled in to see them. On tyre removal found 3.5'' nail floating where the the air pressure should be! After discussions ended, had Dunlop Qualifier 2 fitted - front and back. Guys there were very good, but gave my flexible friend (credit card) a beating! These tyres got a good write up in Bike Mag (JUNE) so I'll let you know how they go. Told to be careful for 100 Miles - fair enough, I can wait a while - then enjoy myself again!

Motor Cycle News roadtester Michael Neeves did an in depth report on the Qualifier 11's the other week and raved about them. In the dry he was impressed and in the wet was 6 seconds quicker than on the same bike (R1 I think) with other leading brands. Certainly I am going after them as soon as my Diablo Pro's are finished. :thumbup

Thanks, Streetbike, that'll do it for me! If they're good enough for Mr. Neeves they'll be way good enough for me! Already feeling confident! Let's get 'em scrubbed in!

wacker, if you drop an email to Dunlop they will send you a reprint of the road test.

Had a Corsa 3 fitted today, dealer said no more then 500 miles left in the super corsa - that would be only 2000 miles!

Hopefully the corsa 3 will be good for 3 - 4000 miles!

I did 5000km on the OEM Rennesports, and have recently had a 2CT rear fitted. It is very confidence inspiring, giving plenty of feedback and lots of grip, and it's comfortable as well.

It remains to be seem how long it'll last though.
