Evening lads.

Just bought a Tuono as my first Aprilia. Have had more than a few Ducatis, Jap sports and a couple of KTM's... then moved to a XT660 which ewas great but sadly didn't have the grunt for a trip to Parc Algar circuit next year we've booked.

So decided to get a Tuono. Bought an 03 plate with 13,000 on the clocks in Red with a bronze frame.
It gets delivered to me earlty next week from the dealer.

So just thought i'd say hello.

Steve.

Welcome to the grand obssession. 34k km on my '07 and still rockin' the streets. I'm thinking that yer going to have a grand time.

Welcome, weeksy from sunny southern California;

I had a magnet gray 2003 Tuono before my current ride: a 2007 I bought new in December as a hold over model. I remember the '03 had considerably more torque down low and the wheel would come up just hitting pebbles in the street. --got lots of favorable "thumbs up" riding along and loved it's comfort mixed with serious handling.

You did good! Now give 'er hell.

Your right their Johnny. I had a red 03 Fighter and I would say it was a bit more meaty low down than my current bike. Mind you it had a full Renegade system on it and had covered 9k. I reckon they on 'loosen' up about 6-7k and start to perform better after that. I had the Falco from 4k to 14k and it seemed to improve with age. It was derestricted with a K@N air filter and reminded me a lot of the red T. They do like to breath well. Its obvious why theirs so many airbox and exhaust mods. I put a thread on for an airbox mod for the new model but didn't get much responce though.

Blimey this is going on a bit.

Our new friend will love his new bike.

G'day and welcome to the Zone Weeksy. :cheers

As my erudite colleagues have intimated: Give it **** and you'll love it.:doug

Ne'er have the words, "Ride it like ya stole it!" been more apropos for a bike. Enjoy the ride, spread the word.
I've got the K&N on Andiamo, gotta see if they took the restrictor off like I asked them to.

Tell me more about the K@N bud. I'm keen on one. Or any airbox mod.
Boxes again :eek

Yes Nobist, boxes again. But this box is normally right near your groin. Ooops, I shouldn;t have said that. Now calm down Nobist. I mean it's near your groin when you're sitting on your bike. Oh god, that's even wore. Someone get the cold water please, and a restraint.

I can't get the water cuz all of a sudden I have a chubby inhibiting my standing... mmmmm he said box...
The K&N makes the airbox sing when yer hardon the throttle

*teehee* he said hardon....

and you can almost hear those 57mm throttle bodies trying to suck your balls off as you launch into the sunset! Love the airbox noyze that cums out of Andiamo now...

sorry nobist... couldn't resist.
