Please point me to the right direction. My story:
- Couple of days ago my T didn't start and showed "ECU disconnect" error on the dash (I suspect bad battery caused it)
- With jumper cables on there is no errors and I can hear the fuel pump, but when I press the start button I hear the repeated clicking sound from the right side of the battery (near +) and there is a red wire with a connector which if disconnected stops to produce the clicking sound (and the bike doesn't start either way). What is it and how do I fix it? (will be replacing battery, but that's obviously not the only problem)

Also close to the battery I found a little (4x4x4cm) black box (was hanging near the fuses), with mark "upper" and rubber case and if i shake it sounds like something broken inside. What is this box and is it normal that something shaking inside?

Thanks in advance for any input.

It's a tip over switch and yes, they do rattle. put it back the right way round.

Ok, now I know what is a tip over switch, but the problem still remains ((

Any ideas about clicking sound and no start? could it be famous brown connector or something similar well known?

Clicking sound is probably the starter solenoid.Could be its clicking but not making contact,...or it could simply be your battery is fooked.

Battery is definitely fooked, but I'm using wires to jump start the bike and still clicking sound - how do I check to make sure it is the starter solenoid?

Replace the dead battery first.Jump starting the bike can be tricky and often unreliable.
To check the solenoid, you will need a multi meter,or similar.Make sure you have a circuit across the two large cable terminals when the start button is pressed.

Great intro btw.:no

Hi there, new to this forum. Have a 2007 tuono r wont start. everthing lights up on dash as normal but just get the clicking sound from battery area. Have checked battery seems to be correct voltage still showing 12volts when starter pressed.
Have read a few things about wire connectors etc have checked the side stand switch etc.
Could this be the starter solenoid problems, any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any ideas on how to reset the service counter...
cheers guys
Dave

Dodgy dave I had exactly the same problem when I brought my bike. Replaced the battery for a new one and the problem went away.
