Guys, I have decided to sell my van as the Mrs wants to get a caravan (which will suit me too!) and so my van will be for sale after the TDR Bash next week. I'll have it there for anyone interested to have a look round.
The van itself is a 1997 Iveco Daily 49/10 with 2.8 td engine. it's getting MOT'd today and has (just before the TT trip) been fully serviced (oil/filter, air and fuel filters and full coolant flush, refill and bleed). I also had the cam-belt replaced at 151000km's. The total mileage now is 161000km's (almost bang on 100k miles) so loads and loads of life left!
Van details;
Garage area-
Chequer plate flooring and ply lined
tie down point throughout
240v socket
12v lights
fits 2 bikes comfortably (3 at a squeeze)
Living area-
Double bed above garage
2 x bench seats (make another smaller bed)
cooker - double hob, grill and oven
sink with tap (needs new pump unfortunately)
fridge with freezer compartment (from caravan so runs on gas/12 and 240v)
19" LCD TV with built in free-view
Status 530 digital ariel with booster (never failed to get a signal)
5 x 240v sockets
overhead cupboard above cab
110ah leisure battery
Zig distribution unit from caravan
Insulated and ply lined with carpet covering
Window on sliding door
I have also installed a security/reversing camera with 7" screen (keep the scum-bags away for the garage section!!) Also, just before TT trip, had a new starter battery fitted. The vans runs 100% and dos the job brilliantly. I did the conversion myself (with the help of a few mates, and auto spark took care of the electrics as not my strong point). It's not a show stopper but looks fine and does everything asked of it really well.
I'm looking for £3000 for it and if I get that I will leave the reversing/security camera and TV in the van.
The only things left to do, in my opinion are, install a split charge system for the leisure battery, it does charge from the 240v hook up or when a generator is connected, but I would still have one installed to keep the battery at it's best. Also, it need a new water pump to run the tap water as mine is knackered, not really essential but would finish it off.
I'll leave it on here for a couple of weeks before the dreaded ebay gets it!!
