Me to. I've got a noddy guide for setting the dash. I'll put it on tomorrow.

i've redone mine now Nob, luckily i got a manual with the bike when i bought it. I read on the forums that the rev limiter could be set but couldn't remember how so thankfully had the manual to look it up. About as handy as having a spell checker now. lol

will be evilbaying one the weekend, £43 delivered if i remember correctly. Got a US stand coming and swinarm bobbins, got a scottoiler lying about but not sure of the connector to the vacuum so may have to wait on that one.

.....Argos have the Oxford Oximiser 600 on sale for £17.99

Not the best on the market, but you don't normally see them for less than £29.

25 quid Halfrauds. I've had one for about 6 years. And just got another for the Falco.

mine wouldn't rev past 6000 rpm when i got it but that was because it had lost power from the battery at some point and reset to original factory values, rev limiter at 6000 rpm and speed in kmh not mph. Are you getting a red flashing light on your dash when you hit 6000 rpm? Or does the needle only go round to 6000rpm when you switch on, this, from what i have read, is what the rev limiter is set to.
Just need to reset the rev limiter if that's the case.

bought my 04 with apparently 18567 miles on the clock, which is shown on the MOT certificate. Unfortunately for the form but fortunately for me, that was actually in kilometres not miles so now i have an 11000ish 04 Tuono.:thumbup

the red light flashing is because the clocks are set at that for max revs for your indication only and can be changed. the speedo can also be changes from km to mph which canges the milage too.
see your manual pg 22 setting the red line threshold and page 20/21 switching from kmh to mph
if youhavnt got a manual i will be happy to post on here how to do it.
done it to mine already but for some reason keeps tripping back to kph, im thinking because the battery may keep dipping too low.
hope this helps

My wifes 05 R1 had the rev limiter set to 6000 revs and I left it like that as in top gear that was 100mph

Coming home in the dark on the motorway it was the only thing to keep my speed down when the bright white light blinded me :thumbup
