I see james toseland has been axed by yamaha for next season. Sad, I think he gave it his best shot but it was't good enough. I've read he is going back to WSB, I think he would do well on board the mighty RSV4- what do you guys think?

dear jesus and friend ,can you fix it for me for JT to ride the rsv coz he's good and stuff ? fanx amen.

i didnt think they would keep him on.

Hope he gets a top ride in WSB as i loved watching his style. It would be nice to see him on the v4. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

maybe a blessing in disguise as MotoGP is on a downward spiral at the moment and WSB is on the up, might not be the worst thing that could have happened.

He needs something cheerier to happen to him to get him re motivated IMO:thumbup

I note that there are no official announcments yet about him being axed. According to MotoGP.com it's a strong rumour but MCN say it's confirmed. I think MCN are taking a punt so they can claim, 'you read it here first'. Prats!

He's certainly had a dismal year so it's not really surprising. Perhaps him and Spies might swap rides.
Imagine, if he won the WSB title again he'll have won it on 3 different makes of bike. Has anyone else done that? :confused

James comes from the next village to us, and we heard 2 or 3 weeks ago, that his mother had told a friend of ours that he'd lost his ride. I don't know how true this is, but that's what he told us in t'pub.:dunno I think his problem has been with setting the bike up, as no one can doubt his skill. I'd LOVE to see him on the RSV4:thumbup

No official confirmation yet. Dorna have made it clear that they are keen to keep him in MOTO GP as the Brits need someone there to keep the sport alive in the UK. As for it being on a downhill spiral I disagree it's still as popular as ever as the crowds at Donntington prove.
If he does leave Yamaha who will take his ride?

Ben Spies

He resigned with Yamaha to stay in WSB with the option to go to MOTO GP in 2011. Now unless he wins WSB then that may change but for now he has said he will stay where he is. Also Dorna have said they wouldn't like to have 2 Americans in the same team and Edwards has already signed

I hope James goes back to SBK, at least then I will have someone to hate in SBK again!!!

Why would you want to hate him? You couldn't wish to meet a nicer bloke.:dunno

ah yes that famous race 2 years ago where he lost out and should`ve won. :dowhat

No results consistently beaten by his own team mate :roll

I think Bayliss deserved to win, but the point I was trying to make was that he puts it all out when he race, thats the quality of a champ, not just statistics.

And I do admit that he sucked in gp :), I would love to se him on the rsv4.

I reckon they should usher bradley smith in as soon as possible even if he looks about 10

Ps he lives on the Man so I reckon he should do the TT at least once.

Spies can go whereever he likes - he's the golden boy and with good reason. I fully expect to see him dicing with Vale and Sulky at the front of MotoGP next year. Yamaha will make sure that Tech 3 is up to factory spec for him.
Bradley's going to be good in MotoGP - but he needs to pay his dues in Moto2 first - it would be crazy to tip him straight off a 125 and onto a MotoGP bike - he's not daft so hopefully he knows it. Give him a year or two.

Ive met James a couple of time now and must admit I like him more than I used to

His results have let him down in Gp but he's not the first WSB champ to have a go at MtoGP and I'm pretty sure he'll not be the last

I hope Spies can be the first to claim a WSB title then make a proper go of it in GP.

Lets hope Toselands gets a good ride in WSB and proves how good he can be, and on an RSV4 in front of Baggy would be great.

I reckon Bayliss was the best all time Champ of WSB and he couldn't crack the GP scene. Just have to look at Fabrizio when he got a ride earlier this year to see how big the gap is. Spies will have to beat his team mate. Edwards is no slouch.

IMO its easy to put in laymans terms:

WSB = trackday beginers
GP = Experts

Dunno who the inters are ;) probably Moto2 next year
