think my Starter Solenoid has gone?

Went to start the bike thismornign ready for work and all I got was slow turn over and then click click click from the Starter Solenoid

All the Starter Solenoid does now is click. Typical with the baby due tomorrow I need the bike asap.

What do you guys think? the clocks do not reset and the battery has a good charge

If it is the Starter Solenoid, then I need to source one today

no I didnt use a mulitmeter just the dash display. was on a optimate all night and says its ok. the clocks didnt reset either. to be fair, not sure if the clockes reset on the 05? I guess it would

Maybe a new battery and a starter to be sourced today then, just to be safe.

I thought Griff woudl supply them but its matter of timing. Wife ready to drop any minute and I need transport as from tomorrow

Guess I will have to phone around all the Yamaha shops within a 30 mile radius

I went home for lunch and put the multimeter on the battery. 11.8! Wacked the jump leads on the bike and it fired up. So it looks like my battery is kaput! next, when the bike started, it started to rev at 2.5-3k Any more ideas? have I cocked something else up?
she was running fine friday when I put her to bed

I had that issue...it was the data tool S3 that would cause it, i got a reset procedure for the alarm and it work fine

Replaced the Battery and Starter Relay and she fires up lovely

Wife not to happy. Optimate next as I dont trust my old thing anymore

At least it wasn't the stator Paul so could have been worse!
