Alright lads can some one please help me,

My fans just aint kicking in!! ive replaced the Thermo Switch still nothing check the connections and they all seem ok

Is there anything else it could be? and anyway of checking

HEEEEEeeeeeeeelPPPPPPPP MEeeeeeeeeeee:thumbup

Hi ST not to mechanical minded but with some instruction i can go far

Sorry to sound dense mate but could you explain abit more indepth

Also is it possible to connect the fans direct to the battery just to see if there defo working? or is there some sort of regulator in the loom to control the voltage?

Cheers for the reply ST

Ohms meter reading on the fans should tell you they r fine. Disconnecting thermal switch and bridge out to eliminate from circuit..then you should have voltage to the fans.

the fans are controlled by a relay. It's identical to the relay used for the headlights so try switching them over to check it.

Ahhaa good info Spoonz had a look at them yesterday to be fair but was unsure of switching them over so thats the 1st plan of attack tonight:thumbup

Aus double checked the Fuses and there all spot on :thumbup

As for bypasing the Thermo switch is it just a matter of connecting the Yellow and Blue Wire together that would normally plug into the thermo switch say for example put a wire between the two connecters?:confused

Unfortunatly i dont own a Ohms meter but will hopefully try and borrow someone`s over the weekend

is there any other part of the cooling system that can fail?

Cheers lads really appreciate it

Have you tried what Aus and spoonz have said? While waiting for the new fan switch i have put in a good quality flick switch to override, fitting was a doddle just twin core cable some terminals and a flick switch (pm me if you want to do this). I dont know about being able to wire direct from batt or any other solutions, sorry bud.

lol cheers for the effort ST

Might PM you if icant sort this prob buddy and just do it manually

haa im the same mate got my monitor at an angle where the boss cant see it so its all good

right then from looking at this its quite limited to parts acctually failing

sorry forgot to mention

If one fan or one connection is fooked will that stop the other fan from working?

cheers lads

fans are independant so both would have to be faulty.

If all fuses are intact and thermo switch is new then it has to be relay or the fans themselves.

Cheers Spoonz its nice to have a bit of reasurance, Just gonna go and pray to the bike gods to let it be the Relay:hail
