Stupid question, what wid yer expect fae a fud.

First time back on ma T since September, A forgot how feckin harsh the ride wis.

A need plush cause am nae balls hingin oot fud.

It's bin set fir sag etc, but it's jist to solid fir ma weight.

Any info on how to soften it up will be well appreciated.

Please no looky at manual ****.

Look in yer handbook yer fud.......lol on a serious note there is a guy who works behind ducati glasgow (but u have to book it through them) he's worked for the likes of scot redding in moto 2 so knows his onions might be worth giving him a bell

know what ya mean.... took me T out for a spin on Friday (1st time sice october) & after riding off road over the winter the T felt really harsh. Was quite suprised, but think ive just been spoilt with the soak up everything suspension of me RMX. Put a few miles on it and things started to feel "normal" again.

Incidently, had my suspension set up properly a couple of years ago,and as soon as i wheeled it in they said to junk the sachs rear shock. Went ahead anyway and the back end was still *****. promptly junked the sachs and bought a second hand Ohlins - best mod ive done on it so far ! Really is night and day....

Dont know which model ya have there Aldo, but consider an ohlins if you havnt got one already. (i weigh fook all and the original shock was like a pogo stick). That said, if it was ok before you laid it up, its more likely just a case of getting used to it again...

:)

Cheers fir that R, I used him to set up the sag on ma machine and yer dead right he's a top dude but an absolute nightmare to get a hold of.

The preload on mine is set quite stiff for when the Mrs gets on the back, this makes it hard when solo. Its east sorted adjusting the rings, but being a lazy **** just leave it.
Good luck getting it sorted bud

felix, a reckon yer right in saying that am jist not used to it. A've been out most weekends since October on ma ktm exc.

It caught me by surprise just how quickly the front turned in plus a wis only taking it a few miles for it's first mot.

Guess A'll jist need to man up and save some extra pennies fir ma dentist to fix ma loose fillings.

Cheers f.

Hey Aldo, took mine in for MOT, Service and tyres yesterday tea time, they take some getting used to after the lay off. I was a bit careless and spun the rear up big style in 2nd, It was damp and tyre was cold, I must give it more respect in those conditions. fD.

Aye take care mucker, yer widnae want tae bin.

Dead easy mate.Just takes a little trial and error to get right.
Sounds like you have too much damping dialed in for your weight/build.Start with the compression damping,...its the dial on the top of the shock.Turn it anti-clockwise to reduce damping.Try two clicks at a time.Go for a ride,......how does that feel?Still too harsh?Try another couple of clicks and go for another test. You may find that the rear squats a bit under power,so turn the adjuster back clockwise two clicks and turn your attention to the rebound damper. Its the dial on the bottom of the shock.
Same as before, turn it anti-clock two clicks and then go for test ride. You should be able to find a happy medium.Due to varying road surfaces,it will never be perfect,.....but you can get it pretty close.
The Ohlins manual explains it all better than me.

Or just fatten up Aldo.
I had my suspension sorted but have lost a stone since then and losing a few more lbs. Not ridden mine since Spet so undoubtably will feel a bit harsh also.
