Strange lead?

Hi guys me again with yet another question! :biggrin I took my seat cowl off earlier and there is a connection with a rubber cap on the end, my first thought was that is was for an optimiser, i checked the voltage and it is that of the battery. So i'm assuming I'm right. before I put a charge into it I just wanted to check it's nothing else. I don't fancy rewiring my bike!

Sounds like the Optimiser connector to me, white oblong block with 2 female connectors ?

Take the rider seat off and trace the wires down from the connector. There should be a fuse holder on the cable and the cable should be a direct attachment to the battery.

If it is a square/rectangular connector with black rubber cap I would agree with Kiwi, it's an optimate connector.

Thats where mine sits aswell, easier to get the back bit off.....
