As I may be going the most direct route to meet bay in Brecon on Sunday I thought I would reacquaint myself with two mountains I'll have to go over - the Bwlch & Rhigos.

Some challenging roads but like motorways compared to my last mountain sortie :thumbup

Top of Bwlch (and yes I went down that road after taking these!):

Down the other side and through Treorchy & Treherbert and up Rhigos.

The last peak (actually two but a bit hard to see) are the top two peaks of the Brecon Beacons:

STix, whatever way you go you will get lost, so unless you memorise the whole of wales youre stuffed anyhow:laugh:biggrin

Yeah I know - amazed myself today though and didn't get lost once!! It was only a 48 mile trip though as opposed to 251 last time :)

That rhigos road is a nice road but why are you coming over there from bridgend. I thought best to go down m4 to port talbot, then up heads of valley to aberdare and then over the mountain to brecon?

Not 100% sure though.

Yes you can go round either way. Most direct by far is straight up though!

Wales: God's own country, shame he has no say about the inhabitants :thumbup

Stix - nice pics mate.

Cheers Gilo. What do you mean about the inhabitants? Look how cute Flossy looks in my pic ;)
