Wales forum meet 7th April 2012

Yes really bad luck. When he was stopped again a mile after you just had to laugh!

Back in the frame guys, got internet sorted. new job all going ok. suspect it's going to be a piece of piss once I get all the teething problems sorted out.
Sunday was a real ****** but got over it now. pulled 4 times in one day who'd have believed it.

£60.00 fine for plate, produced yesterday girl on deskn said there's been a few bikes in since the weekend we havent had one in ages. i said thats cos they weree being a bunch of tossers and having a purge on bikes.

Cleaned bike today and surprise surprise changed me number plate. A bit dubious about heading berecon way in a huirry again, I'm going West next time out on a weekend.

It was funny Mick those two last pulls, not so much the first two for you :(

Glad I sniffed out the brown estate car though, sneaky bastards.

Good to hear job going ok, and probably for the best changing that plate eh!!

Give me a shout next time you are going out, West would be a nice change. Perhaps bay et al can come to my part of the woods :)

Hello everybody!

Just to let you know that I'm still a bit battered. Went to the doctors yesterday for stronger pain killers so at least managed to get some proper sleep last night. Still limping a bit (right ankle) but the more serious damage is to my right shoulder and shoulder blade which has a compendium of trapped nerve and torn muscle ... but not fractured as first thought.

Had to drive car to and from Milton Keynes yesterday and by the time I got home I had to sort of roll out of the car onto my kneees because my rhs had seized up!

Bike is still in my garage. I've been in to talk to it a couple of times but it looks very sad ... :cry

I reckon there's about £700 of damage to bike ...

Griff is so busy he can't collect it until next week some time but I have notified Bennetts who were very nice about the bike but informed me that my helmet and sat nav are not covered ... tip there folks = pay a bit extra.

Cost to me will be about the same £250 excess + £110 sat nav + £350 helmet

I hung my leathers into the shower and spent about 25 mins going at them with a big pad of nylon (fish tank filter material) and baby shampoo ... 6 hours later they were dry and looked almost as ****** as when I started; the only clean patch being where sTix had a bit of OCD in the early hours of Sunday morning.

I've since had a go at them with some leather clean n feed and that's doing the trick.

Thanks everybody for checking how I'm doing ... to be honest the worst part is the ignominy of falling off on a forum day. Oh! and missing a free golf day yesterday.

On the plus side - I had such a hoot out with the lads for the curry on the Saturday night as to (almost) make the whole affair worthwhile.

And to be sober whilst watching all about me get smashed was a strange experience indeed.

Bays eyes on Sunday morning looked like miniature stained glass windows!!!

Nice one Welly, could have been a lot worse matey. Amazed I haven't come off on one of our rides, as I have messed up so many corners but somehow got away with it.

I felt a bit **** Sunday, but don't think I was in bay or Gilos league hangover wise :)

I've a sympathy bad neck for you Pete. God knows how I managed to do that but I still can't really turn it and I'm on pain killers at the mo. Obviously not as bad as you but I'm popping them every four hours on the dot and can't sleep without them.

Hangover wise I'm never drinking that much again and riding. Although I still don't think I looked as bad as Sir Giles, 'I went to bed feeling fine but did a sicky burp during the night'. He'd have been better off on Pimms than drinking mans lager.

Good stuff though.

Put a claim in for damaged exhausts etc Pete. Best get as much out of the insurance as you can. Take it easy fella and hopefully see you soon (in some clean leathers)

If you want your leathers really clean Pete, bring them round and I'll do a bit at a time when I'm lagered up. Which is nearly all the time at the moment ;)

Pete - Hope it works out re: bike and get well soon, you too Bay.

If it helps I'm fine, but working on tomorrow's hangover.:crazy

So Giles, how long did it take to get rid of your mahoosive hangover? You looked ****** mate. I was ******, Bay was fuckeder and you was fuckedest.

Hmm, think I've invented some new words there - tidy :thumbup

Tbh mate after my (unfeasibly slow and wobbly) ride home down the Usk Rd and M4 / M32 I felt ok. Filled up on lard products when I got home and was ok to do a few tinnies and a bottle of wine on the Sunday night :thumbup

Smashing! Yes I drank bucket loads Sunday, felt ok. I am a professional alchy though who had no work for another week and a bit :cheers

You read about Mick's pulls and then his more pulls when I was with him did you? Bonkers!!

Yeah I did - unreal. Poor bugger.

Reminds me why I usually ride on a Saturday, and rarely on a Sunday - too many polis about..:thumbdown

They were up for it Sunday big style. Defo a push to do more bikers the feckers. That's why my plate is bog standard though, I don't wear a dark visor, show my tax disc and don't actually speed that much.

Must be doing something right, I've had no points since 2003. **** that's probably blown it.

Nazi bastards, Hope your feeling better Pete. Never realised you were so bad yiu put on such a manly outward appearance. your stance is so tough with that leary stare.

It's the same up here G.

I think they're on some sort of Sunday bonus scheme, the more fines yer hand oot the bigger yer bonus. :megaphone
