speeding

Ive finally made my decision to take their kind offer of a speed awareness course £88 + no points .

as i pay 3 lots of insurance so the alternative may quite costly in the long run !!!!

My reason was ..... its so easy to pick up points with the biking season coming , so it's a clean license for moi.

what kind of van was it transit size or small say vauxhall combo my mate got pulled for it his brief contested it it because a lot of small vans are registered on log book as car derived van he got of with it as they come under car rules

it was a long wheel base transit semi hi top with --------- an elevating platform on top , other wise know as a a cherry picker. for the proffesional user/ abuser a MEWP.
Yep car derived vans are ok to do normal speeds but proper van have to stick to stupid limits .

unless asked you are not legally obligated to inform your insurance.

unless of course things have changed again.

When you enter into any insurance contract, either at inception or renewal, you have a Duty of Disclosure to fulfil garry.
If you circumstances have changed, i.e. different house, physical disability, prosecutions etc, and that change can be reasonably expected to make a difference in the premiums (costs) then you have a Duty of Disclosure to satisfy.
Original law goes back to the mid 1800's

I'd definately do the same, in your position!

But your insurer may still ask if you've done a course and if so likely use it to cobble a few more ££ from you!

Worth noting the fee for Speed Awareness Courses vary per county & course provider... and typically range between £60 & £100! Not that you have any choice which location to choose!

Just done the course , thank god its done . i can think of far better ways of wasting 4 hours of my life:lol

Pmsl I wish my insurance on both my bike and car had been increased because of speeding points! I've been paying extra for the last 5 years because I was victim to a hit and run motorbike accident! All the insurance company's agree it's not fair that I get charged more for the privilege of being left for dead in the road by a hit and run but charge me anyway!
