Hi all, assuming I have a problem with speed sensor on my 07 Tuono. It sometimes reads 0mph which is bad enough, but it randomly reads up to 187mph, even at standstill which to make matters even worse turns the trip meter and overall mileage up at a corresponding and alarming rate. I am due to go on a trip to Le Mans for Moto GP, so not wanting about 100000 miles on the bike when i get back, is there any way I can disable the speedo altogether and get sensor sorted out under warranty when I return? I have undone the sensor at the rear disk bracket so it sees fresh air but no joy.... it still flies while standing still and miles rack up. When I have looked at images of cable there is a white plug at end of harness. Does anyone know if unplugging this would alleviate the problem until I get back, and where on the bike I can find this connector. I have followed the cable until it appears to go on the right hand side under the round engine cover but then.....?:banghead:banghead
Thanks in advance peeps

seems like electrical gremlins are popping up all over the place :bawling

the speed sensor is a hall effect reader sensing electromagnetic pulses from your rear disc bolts . if you un bolt the sensor and cover the face with pvc tape and anchor it somewhere safe .it will not be able to read anything .
if you discon the sensor , the clock display will tell you there is an error.

go out and ride and see what the speedo reading says if its still registering speed i think it is more likley to be an ecu fault or a duff connection somewhere in the loom

i have electrical probs at the mo same bike same year :banghead

You are going on a long trip with the speedo not working?
You must be mad.

I'd get the ****** fixed before setting off.

Cheers Hilift, tried removing and taping but still on occasions the miles and speed go all over the place....traced cable back and unplugged the connector and that seems to have done the trick although I don't think I get any error messages? Although with me clocks misted up I wouldn't be able to see it anyway :cheers :banghead
