Thought this might be of interest for someone. Shop on e bay cleareance bargins is selling inforad speed detection sytems for £19.99 gps based speed detection designed especially for motorcycles 2 wires to connect and a small gps aerial to site thats it and a bright l.e.d to mount in cockpit looks good and some good write ups on the tinterweb.:thumbup

Will take a pic when i get back unless someone else sorts it first, you can hide the led anywhere and the gps antenna fits nicely under the screen and the box of tricks in the tail unit, its a right steal
 
Aye, I think a load of people on here have them.... very effective & certainly gets your attention when it starts flashing!
 
bought one today, thought if it saves me once its paid for itself if not only £20 down the drain! (anyway if i have to redo the kitchen i'm getting something for it!)

I was in taking a picture of the tank decal for Cheesy and remembered Legs wanted one of this :biggrin killed two birds with one stone...
 
Fitted it last night in between fire calls at work, did not take long. Thought i'd wire it into a live on ignition circuit to save it being constantly on, anyway, found the wire i wanted and cut it. Being a F**kwit and not double checking which one i was holding i had only cut through the inforad Aerial cable:eek::rant. After 10 mins of standing dejected i spliced the aerial together but could not get a constant green light so spliced again, taped the cable up and gave up resigned to buying another one off Ebay. Started bike this morning to came home and the green light was flashing but surprisingly it went solid after 20 seconds and got a signal off the satelites:doug. Moral of the story do not do things when you are tired and being constantly interupted!

mine came today first impresions looks bloody ace for £20,

now then how do i find a switched live to connect to....:dunno
 
i wired it into the fuel pump circuit, look on r/h side next to test wires there is a block with two connectors with yellow wires coming out, top wire is the fuel pump live. If you cut it and turn the bike on the fuel pump doesnt prime, solder the wire into that circuit and the unit only works with the ignition on saving a flat battery. ( i am assuming the wiring is similar on the 04 to 03). Hope this helps mate. i tested it today by driving past a few speed cameras picked everyone up but only in the direction the camera was facing to catch you speeding, however you can turn this off so it warns you in both directions but you need to download the device software off the website. if you need a hand let me know
