Looks like starter/ solenoid gone any 1 got spare? Also new to rsv,s and didn't notice steering damper missing when bought lovely to ride but been advised to fit one asap Any about? Cheers.:devious
 
I have got a starter solenoid, I will also be setting up a group buy in the next few days for steering dampers. I will let you know when it's done, this is the ones I will be selling.

The steering damper was an option on rsv and tuono's (there were two types adjustable and non adjustable) all rsv and tuono's have the mounting points for a damper but obviously because it was an (expensive!) option not all had one fitted so yours may not be missing it may never of had one! You can up grade you starter solenoid with a yamaha one, they work great and are much more reliable than the aprillia one! contry to what you see on the forum the solenoid is not for a R1 it is for virtually every yamaha but the R1!! if you look in the common mods forum you will find a part number for it!!
 
Part number for Yamaha starter solenoid is 4KD-81940-00 I seem to remember it costing £38
