Slipper Clutches...?

This is not the right topic, but it doesnt work at low speeds.

Vith hooked style airbox you suppose to get more power at lower and mid-range rpm. With evolution, that keeps the ram air, you suppose to get power in the upper revs.

In my opinion, if you want a diferent filter and like the roar that makes it, go for it. If you want to go faster, invest the money in a track day, you will be alot more faster :D

surely with that open carbon airbox you get no ram air effect? just a thought.

i don't believe that you will get much ram air effect as there is not a complete seal between the inlets in the fairing and the frame, and then from the frame to the y-piece so no real pressure could build up anyway

Ok, guys , I ride a 06 factory and have started to do track days. I have had a few lock up and close calls, so dose this mean that i should stop blinging when changing down? :confused

i use my back brake a lot on the road, but found that it just made the rear too prone to lock ups on track days to use it at all when downshifts are occurring. i don't know if you use yours in combination with downshifting? if so, first try it without back brake.

i don't think the original 'slipper' design is good enough to totally prevent lock ups, as it's a torque reducing mechanism not a limiting one

I will test both methodes next time Im on the track, but wont be that soon :D

For now (thats before I found i have a slipper clutch :D) I get the best results if I down shift one gear with blipping the throttle, then another and so on... And you realy have to BLIP it(hard) if you are in the upper revs, othervise by the time you let go of the clutch the revs will fell down and you didnt do nothing :)

If you downshift two gears at once and even if you blip the throttle it will lock up.
