Silver protectors on side of radiator

My bike (07 T) has had the radiator changed out after a couple of little incidents, i have noticed in a few pics you guys have put up that they all seem to have these wee silver bits on the sides of the radiators. Can anyone tell me what these are called and where i can get them? Are they protectors of some sort??

been looking for some carbon ones for ages. can't see why one sides dearer than the other on af1 ???????
pisses me off why factories don't get them :dunno:bawling
might have to get some made.

I ordered one from Ultimate Parts and have been waiting a month so far for it to come from Italy. If you haven't got them fitted I wouldn't bother and fit some crash bungs instead. They don't offer much protection to the radiator.
 
I wouldn't say they offer NO protection. They'd keep the sides of the rad safe from bug-splats..... but thats about it. :rolleyes They're only held on with a strip of sticky foam padding, and not very sticky stuff at that!

I was looking at what R&G had to offer for the T last week. I'll likely end up with their bungs and maybe fork protection too.

I got these - fit straight on (no cutting) and much cheaper than R&G.

Heard these sort of things just bend or sheer off, while the dearer ones ie R&G etc are fixed much more soundly and take impacts and slides well. As for cutting, well its hardly anything.

Never seen another same as ours with them on, lucky boy. They silver or ????
Got a bit of a scratch on mine to cover so I may just put a decal on now I have the R&G's on. Its a bugger finding something decent. I have seen a raised decal on Ebay I might have a look at. :dunno
 
just been out to the garage and mine has the silver plates on. maybe its 27 quid for the plate and 3 quid for the sticky pad

Cheers for that! F**k it i wont bother i have the R+G bungs on and they work a treat as i have tested them.
