i dropped mine the other week so know how you feel, my stand seems really short and does'nt have much of an angle, its so bad the back wheel is only ever just touchin the floor! i tend to keep a small piece of wood in my pocket and throw that down. i will end up getting a decent stand, so if you find something that fits and is goo let me know

Just ordered my 06 CBR1000RR off US FleaBay. £23 delivered (as long as it gets to me before I fly home!). Still have a GSXR1000 sand that was an abortive attempt to rectify the woeful original. Can't remember where I read that a Gixxer stand would fit, but it don't! Might get my money back off Ebay I s'pose?

I found with the fireblade stand the bike is quite upright but the foot of the stand is alot further out and is alot more stable than the standard one.

Yes mine is the same as baronvonbomb
sits quite upright as before but the stand is out further and more stable:thumbup

Has anyone let the air out of their rear tyre to make sure the bike won't fall over if it gets a flat?

Is it 100% possitive that sidestand from cbr 1000 fits on rsv mille? Because I have a information that cbr sidestand has 53mm between bolts, rsv 63mm.

Has any1 had the the sense to take any pics of before and after, cos all it seems to be doing is causing confusion as to what stand does fu**ing what??????? For which model!!!??:dunno

Your sidesyands may have already been changed? If not I would change them from bitter experience the GSXR will fit but needs more work than the Honda at least that's what I'm told. I bought the Honda one but we ended up just making one. When I say we I mean I held the bike :) and the difference is night and day. I know have a 20mm solid bar and that ain't tipping anytime soon

I've not had a problem with mine! How difficult is it to pick a suitable spot to park it, and make sure if on a slope, you park front facing uphill????? Or am I being uncharacteristcally smart?

Honda fireblade stand is a direct replacement, you only need the stand as everything else just swaps over..And it makes a massive difference I now feel my bike is very stable whereas before I fitted this stand I was always unsure if it would topple over...I got the blade stand from the USA and it was on fleebay for less than £30 delivered..

Hmmm now I too have a blade stand and I have to get it cut down because it makes the bike stand up too straight now plus the fact that I can't use my abba stand with it because it's too long and won't flip up past the leg of the stand.

So many conflicting view on this one.

Good job I know a fabricator who will weld it up after I chop it down!

I have one on a gen 1 and one on a gen 2 both are much more stable..but I suppose its a bit like marmite, you either love it or hate it..
