does anybody else have this prob when i put on its stand it seems to lean so far it almost going to fall over

yep - thats a common one...there was a thread on here somewhere about a replacement side stand option that apparently makes the bike alot more stable...was it the USA stand or something?? or it might have even been a fireblade stand that is a straight swap....hopefully someone can enlighten us...

2005 CBR1000RR stand. Or give Craig (bubseywoo) a pm as he makes/modifies them. Assuming that he's still on here of course.

Usually if your careful where you site the bike it can be ok but can be apest at times and bikes have fallen over

The american stand is so much better than ours

Heres one on a Falco

I went the 2004 CBR1000RR route and its a perfect fit but you do need to have 1 cm or so chopped off the length or the bike sits too upright and it could fall the other way. Also the original switch is re-used as the CBR one looks identical but has different number of wires to connect.

I have a Ventura rack on my 03 and it was always a nerve shredding affair stopping and getting off for any reason when the bike was loaded. Now its spot on and safe as you like

I've gone for the VTR sidestand option. The stand is a much better design and looks loads stronger. Also the switch has the same wiring as the mille one if you use the existing Aprilia bracket (just plug and play).
Everything looks great - however, I am yet to try it yet ?? (it looks slightly longer so the bike will be more upright)

I just wrapped black electrical insulating tape round the foot of the stand until it was the right length,, you only need a few mm more to make a big difference.

I have a fireblade stand complete that I decided not to fit in the end, it does go straight on but does need a little taken out of the stand length. Let me know if you're interested,
Billy

Think I'm gonna weld on an extension to mine at a slight angle so it's further away from the centre of the bike and more upright. When I park mine next to my mates mine looks like it leans over 20 degrees further?

Never mind that, I've just gone blind staring at you little video sequence for the past half hour!!

Forget Bubseywoo the biggest mistake I ever made !!!!!!!

Bad design , flawed and dangerous in my opinion. I have one and its in the feeeeekin bin where it belongs

Was thinking of bidding for the one on Ebay at the moment but have been put off after reading these posts:confused. Will just stick with what i've got. Cheers V2 Fan

WHAT........insulation tape!?!?!!?!??!?!?!!??!!?!?!?

Now thats a class fix for a sidestand bet its still serving you well LOL :jack

There are several options as mentioned above you can also apparently modify the GSXR stand. The US Falco one needs a hole drilling or filling can't recall which the CBR is 04-07 and you can buy direct from Honda

I've just fitted a VTR stand to mine, works a treat but you have to drill a hole for the side stand pin, to locate into, as the orininal hole is in the wrong place. no biggie
