Hi Guys

I am after some help with a replacement side stand for my 2011 Tuono 1000 r. I have done searches on hear and come up with

Side stand of American model, cant find any a bit like Rocking horse poo

Honda Blackbird second hand, do all years bolt straight on

Honda Fire blade, same as above any particular year and which would be best Blackbird or Blade

Or are the two Hondas the same stand.

Running low on funds after buying the bike but would like to get this sorted.

Not sure about the gen2 but the gen1 for the fire blade stand was between 04 and 07 I believe , I think the blackbird stand needs the kill switch removed or moved.
 
Blackbird just needs a 5mm hole drilling.
 
has any body shortened the fireblade stand to improve the lean angle?

I measured it yesterday after fitting the fireblade stand and it was sat at 87 degrees! (practically up right!)

Odd,...you have'nt got lowering links on the suspension have you?

completely standard ... could be the surface but i was hoping to feel comfortable leaving it :dunno

Thats just from a quick search on ebay usa.... (Havnt ckecked that they are right for your bike - thats for you to do !) seems like there are plenty out there !

Dont forget you need the bracket too !!


Oh..... even noticed a few for the V4 too...

I have a Bubbsywoo* sidestand for sale if anyone's interested.

*guy who used to make stands for Tuonos and RSVs and sell them on eBay. Fits straight on and puts the bike on a far safer angle.
 
I have a fire blade stand and the bike sits quite up right. Bolted straight on. Well obviously not quite, I had to take the old stand off first

What year blade did it come of. I have purchased a 1997 blade stand and it seems all wrong.
 
same issue El Liamo (as mentioned in a comment higher up)
took it to the local bike dealer earlier to get some advice and they just said cut it at the bottom and reweld the pad on ..easy job (supposedly) they seem to think its probably somewhere around 0.5-1 inch needs cutting to put it right....

time permitting i'm going to attempt this during the week
