Show me your track photos!

That is the big track, coming out of turn 4.
And yeah, my body language could use more Italian.
I'm not all that aggressive, just enjoying the ride. Didn't want to bin it. I was only going into turn 8 about 115 mph and over start finish about 130, which was a nice comfortable speed for me. :thumbup

That said, I did pass the guy riding the Desmosedici. It was going into 8. I had nothing for him on the straight, but he was pussyfooting it into the corners. Probably the only time I'll get to smoke one of those. :cheers

Here's a few of my T on track - not that impressive in terms of photos but I had a blast and the T went well. A bit twitchy in the slow corners so had to knock it up a gear and sacrifice a bit of drive, not much though, so much grunt low down.

On the Tuono, Deal's Gap is as close as I've come to the track:

Dunno if this will work, a bit of onboard camera footage of the new (not yet in production) BMW S1000RR - it is seriously fast!

VIDEO

Edit - can't embed the ferkin thing.

One of the Instructors works for BMW and "borrowed" it for the day. He just eats me for breakfast on the straights.

Dave Halsall is a genius!

I wouldn't go that far :lol
but it is a fookin fast bit of kit, it will eat a blade or an R1 in a straight line, and it looks pretty tasty in the corners.

Only reason I could keep with him was a combination of slower riders and Dave's rather understandable urge not to stuff it.

If you think I am not trying you should see the state of my tyres :eek

I'm just gutted I was still on holiday on Tuesday...I'll have to wait until next year for my next HRT day now.

You missed a good day,
we had sun shine all day, although you can't tell from the pictures.
Sadly it was the same photographer as last time, I wish they would bring BSP back, much better pictures.

Sylvain Guintoli was there on the Worx Suzuki, apparantly Chris Walker turned up on his cycle - out for a pushbike ride - and then pedalled off home (36 miles)
According to MCN Sylvain managed 30 laps (1:30s) during the evening test session and will ride in the BSB meet August bank holiday.

Max Mercier Memorial track day. All proceeds went to making racing and tracks in Ontario safer. For example, a defibrulator was purchased this time around. I moved from Intermediate to Expert class at this event, and ended up having some huge fun with some of the pros and ex-pros.

I had the bike stickered as $ because they gave me a pile of numbers but none of which matched my R.A.C.E. #100 registration of the bike (registered on my racing license). So I just stuck the $ on the front... as it accurately represents the cost of racing bikes. :D

Turn 4 on the long track (also the Nelson circuit) at Shannonville. It's a late apex corner which is critical for setting up turn 5, which is a sharp left that takes you towards the Carousel at high speeds.

Committed and going through corner 4. My friend Jimbo197 is behind me on his sweet Daytona 675 and his customized leathers. I offered to lead and show him a quicker line through this corner. Three laps later, I looked behind me and found I'd left him half a track away. So much for being a teacher.

Coming on to the front straight. Behind me a Kawasaki Factory Team rider. His body posture is better but by the end of the day, he wasn't able to get by me. :)

Corner 8, a tricky right-handed, decreasing-radius sweeper with a lot of bumps and a big seam in the center that can unsettle the suspension and spin the tire. That's John behind me on the Ducati 996, I think.
